New Renault R27 Hits Jerez Track
« on: January 16, 2007, 01:25:45 PM »
Through the official launch of Renault’s new R27 isn’t set to happen until January 24 in Amsterdam (in deference to new title sponsors ING), the French team isn’t giving up any precious testing time to its rivals.

A still un-liveried R27 made its first public appearance at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in Spain this Tuesday, with Giancarlo Fisichella behind the wheel. The new car had already completed a shakedown run at Silverstone last week with new tester Nelson Piquet.

The new car’s most evident differences in comparison to last year’s title-winning R26 are the radically carved sidepods and “Ferrari-like” rearview mirrors sprouting from the sidepods’ edges.

Fisichella is expected to again complete only a shakedown run today. Williams is also in action at the Spanish circuit, with tester Kazuki Nakajima.

These chaps are not waisting any  time are they.At least romephius will be pleased Fisi is out there doing his job

The Stig

well done to fisi......but the drivers I support are Kimi and Mark Webber, the team I support is Mclaren, I'll stay with them even though I am nowhere near a fan of Alonso.
but thanks for trying stig.
