Davidson on top for Super Aguri
« on: January 18, 2007, 05:02:22 PM »
Anthony Davidson set the pace in what is the third day of testing this week at Jerez. The Super Aguri Honda, running an adapted version of the 2006 Honda chassis, set the pace with a best lap of 1:19.628s, half a second quicker than Fisichella's Wednesday best.

Fisichella was again back in action today, setting the second fastest time, just over a tenth adrift of Davidson, in the new Renault R27 but was forced to a halt with a mechanical problem. 2007 team-mate Heikki Kovalainen was the slowest of the four runners on track today, 1.3s off the pace of Fisichella but he too lost track time, this time with an electrical problem.

Nico Rosberg took over testing duties in the Williams Toyota, setting the third fastest time, just under half a second off the ultimate pace.

Testing continues on Friday with Renault and Super Aguri Honda in action
