Spyker name date for launch
« on: January 22, 2007, 04:14:09 PM »
The Spyker F1 team has confirmed that it will launch its new car early next month, with the unveiling taking place near its factory, at Silverstone, on February 5.

The launch will be a 'static affair', with running scheduled to take place on the two days following, with an exclusive test at Silverstone from February 6-7. The team had planned to shakedown the new car this week but that will now not happen.

The car's designation for 2007 has still be announced, but team boss Colin Kolles will no doubt save that for the launch day, when he is expected to be in attendance along with Spyker F1's two race drivers, Christijan Albers and Adrian Sutil.

Following the launch and shakedown, the team are currently due to conduct nine days of testing, prior to the new season, which gets underway on March 18 with the Australian Grand Prix.

Two tests will take place at Barcelona, from February 12-14 and February 27-March 1, broken up with another three-day run from February 19-21, but at Valencia

The Stig
