F1- McLaren to limit media's access to Hamilton

Ron Dennis has vowed to limit the media's access to Lewis Hamilton this year, so that the young Briton is not 'distracted' during his rookie season in F1 for McLaren.

The Woking based team's principal told the Independent that he is already conscious of the English and international hype that is being generated by the 22-year reigning GP2 champion's graduation to the highest class of motor racing.

Dennis revealed to the newspaper that McLaren will use a policy of "controlled exposure" with respect to Hamilton throughout 2007.

"We will make Lewis available (to the media), but we will certainly limit one-on-one (interviews) because they are so massively time-consuming and can be very intrusive and distracting for a young driver," he said.

"In some instances, it's like the young driver being thrown to the wolves and that certainly isn't going to happen."
