Raikkonen set for Ferrari test
« on: January 22, 2007, 08:08:27 PM »
KIMI Raikkonen will make his Ferrari debut in a test at Italy's Vallelunga circuit tonight (AEDT), the Formula One team said.

Raikkonen has yet to do any laps for his new team since leaving Mercedes-powered McLaren at the end of last year to replace Ferrari's retired seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher.

A Ferrari spokesman said the 27-year-old Finn would drive last year's 248F1 car in a scheduled three-day test at the circuit near Rome while Brazilian teammate Felipe Massa tested the new F2007.

Ferrari has been forced to abandon plans to test at Mugello, much closer to its Maranello factory, because of predicted bad weather.

The Stig
