GT5 with head tracking
« on: January 06, 2011, 01:10:25 PM »
I've had the PS3 since Chrimbo now and have been getting into GT5 quite a lot and I have to say its the best game I've ever played.

To top up my PS3 hardware I purchased the Playstation Move controllers which comes complete with the Sony Motion Eye Camera. After a couple of days I noticed new options in GT5 to adjust the Eye Camera. Huh? In a racing game? Why would I want to adjust a camera thats pointing AT me?

After a quick Google and a change of settings I now have Auto Head Tracking when I drive - Amazing! See below for a quick demo.  :good:

It only works in Arcade mode at the moment Williamsfan but rumour has it the game will be updated very soon.

Oh by the way, what set up has everyone got for their steering wheels? I was think about getting one of these as it folds flat. http://wheelstandpro.com/order.html

Here's a guy using it and it looks very stable.

I'm open to any other ideas  :DntKnw:

Ian, I've managed to purloin a PS3 from work for a few weeks, have you got the F1 game, and if so is it worth getting?

I might see if I can get a second hand GT5 seeing as you think its worth while.

I found the F1 2010 flaming hard work Neil, I picked up a pre owned GT5 out of gamestation for £20 and the disc is pristine Neil. If you get it go on A-spec as the driver, if you go on B-spec you're the manager and you just tell the driver what to do.
