I have high hopes, but it was really weird that they leaned on the Avatar angle, while glossing over it's the same guys who did the King Kong remake...

Yeah, not as if it's James Cameron directing it...

It looks like they are going to build up and build up, and then just when we want the apes to start chatting away, they will end the movie...why?...so they can do "The Apes Have Risen" etc...

On this we can agree. It is almost impossible to live up to the original Godfather and III took a beating when it first came out. Like a fine wine though.......

It would be like trying to make a sequel to Scarface, another Pacino classic.

I liked the last three too.  Story may have been a bit weaker, but the effects were so much better.  I like watching Clone Wars with my son too.

right on that one Cos.And the last Star Trek may have been the best
of them all with First Contact a close second
