DC hopes to confound critics
« on: January 27, 2007, 09:05:46 PM »
David Coulthard is gearing himself up for some giant-killing performances in 2007, at the wheel of what he hopes will be a much-improved Red Bull Racing RB3.

The Scot's podium finish at the Monaco GP last May was the sole highlight of an overwhelmingly dispiriting campaign for Red Bull - one that had been ill-fated right from the word 'go' with cooling problems affecting their RB2's Ferrari engine during winter testing.

But with Ferrari replaced by Renault and the hiring of an all-star design team led by Adrian Newey, Coulthard is quietly confident ahead of the coming season.

"I'm always excited about the year ahead because of all the optimism and desire to have a good car and package," he told Crash.net at the launch of the RB3 in Barcelona.

If David wins he might just  confound
himself. He couldn't win his last year
at McClaren and I see no reason for
    it to change this season
Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."
