What a superb spectacle, we Brits can still put on a brilliant show.

Thankfully the Middleton and Spencer blood will do wonders for that ugly inbred clan that has masqueraded as the British Royalty for ages.     :tease: :tease: :tease:

Can you imagine if Charles had children with that horrid Bowles thingie?   :o :o

It was all over TV here in the States this morning when I was leaving for work.

You've obviously never seen Camilla's daughter taking part in a segment, entitled 'Emma Rides', on the TV motoring show 'Driven'. She is quite a looker and takes part in daunting challenges like, riding a standard Speedway bike against a former world champ, taking part in a Motocross race, and being in the middle of a demolition Banger race; - to name just a few.

Oh and the Spencers were, and still are amongst the biggest Hooray Henry's in Britain, Diana was a daughter of Viscount Althorp who later through inheritance became the 8th Earl Spencer, this title has since passed to Diana's brother. The Parker- Bowles' do not have such direct links to title, relying on connections to titles of Grand or Great Grandparents. :P

It was a fantastic event to watch, showed off what Britain can offer as a country and has left me with a really nice warm feeling inside  :D

Great for Britain in these dark economic days. I'm not the greatest royalist but William and Kate will bring a modern face to the monarchy, makes me proud to call myself British. :yahoo:

No big fan of the Royals, but Liz's face is on our (Cdn) money, so there is an attachment.  I hope the Queen decides to skip Charles and hand the crown to William though.

For the record, Peter Gabriel puts on a much better show - the Brits can be proud of him.  :P

I must admit I had a great day yesterday...Town was so quiet i could actually shop without being trampled on and pushed around.
I am so glad everyone in Ipswich wanted to watch the wedding hehe....though there was a downside....Whilst clothes shopping i saw a pair of male boxers with a union jack on the rear and his cheesy face on the front.
Thats just wrong on so many levels what a turn off

I watched the wedding and thought what a great spectacle it was and as Ian says this kind of event is what sets our nation apart form every other. They estimate 5 billion people across the world tuned in to watch it live - amazing!

A very proud day indeed for anyone who is British and a welcome boost for morale.

It is someone who is usually very posh and really loud, often parties regularly and generally offers nothing back despite their social standing.

Have to agree with that Wizzo!  Not been a lot lately to make you proud to be British but yesterday certainly gave me that feeling.  I'm sure it'll only last until Tuesday, but still, nice to have that pride even if only temporarily!
