Kobiyashi said 7th was possible today...

See!  That's why I picked him for 7th.  He told me last night!  Too bad it didn't work out that way, I would have gotten 2 badly needed points.   :'(

Getting into the points was pretty heroic considering he doesn't have a deep pocketed team and Adrian Newey designing his car!

Not to mention getting passed Michael Schumacher seems to be a pretty risky proposition these days.

Absolutely - did you see him out there?  He was giving a F1 Drivers Clinic to the rest of them...   :good: :good:

He did put on quite a show. I was certainly impressed.

If I may pick at open wounds... if we had PPV F1 coverage we'd have our very own Kobiayashi-Cam we could watch all race  :D

(Or Alonso, if you're so inclined...)

Actually, I was also a bit disappointed. After the first round of stops, he was a legitimate 8Th, then when he got on the softs he seemed to lose pace a bit, fading to 14Th or so before recovering to 10Th.  :DntKnw:

Everyone was all over today.  Except Vettel.  Even the TV director had no idea what to show.

What makes you think so? Most PPV is just the same broadcast but far, far more costly.

If we had PPV, I'd have slept later!

That's what NASCAR PPV coverage is.

Read on F1 blog that Kobi had a puncture mid race and had to make a premature stop, throwing his strategy off. Another thing TV missed.

And so did all the commentating & pit lane crew at the BBC. ;)

I wonder what Muddy Talker would have made of this race from the commentary box. He often got so revved up at action, even in dull races, that his voice was nearly off the scale, I reckon he may well have gone well past the rev limiter in Turkey.  :D
