Wasn't that bad was it?

A lot of negative comments on the GP today, but it wasn't too bad was it?  It just didn't live up to the season so far.  Even so it was better than a lot of races over the last decade.

From a midfielder fan's perspective I would agree. For the front of the pack though pretty boring but also what a well run race by everyone. Lots of respect...except for what's-his-name holding up Webber for a second.

it wasn't too good either.I hope  the other teams
eventually challenge Vettel nad get away from a

I get what you're saying but I am pretty much convinced we are seeing a truly huge talent blosoming right before our eyes. He's heads above the level of a very good driver in his teammate Webber in an identical car. He's heaps faster than everyone else.

He is Tiger Woods 10 years ago
He is Wayne Gretzky 20 years ago

The little puke is all growed up.  :D

First race I missed this year...and I'm glad the reviews are mixed.  No DNFs?  WTH??  Maybe instead of sprinklers to liven things up, Bernie should install a few spike strips that shoot up at random  ;)

Not great by this year's standard but not too bad, they had to work for overtakes even with the double flappy wing zones. I think a lot of drivers found it hard to pass in the flappy wing zone as they hadn't got their 7th gear right; they had a choice either compromise with a too big gear for normal running and have the extra available, or run a smaller 7th and be unable to make passes on low downforce cars. Many were bouncing off the rev limiter in the zone.

Not one single car in the wall and the only damage seems to have been Shumi's front wing, now either they are all playing nice or the heat got to them???  :D  The front was a lot more bunched up the whole race so I don't suppose a safety car would have made any difference.

I'd give the race 5 out of 10.

We'll have to see if the changes for Silverstone do throw Red Bull a curved ball, the next few races may tell us if it's the car or the man running away at the top of the lists at present.

Not what we have been used too this season, but I blame the track.

I blame the new engine mapping rules.

The cars went the exact same speed in Quali and Race Day.

Without any changes, why would there be any passing?

Sorry, but, the cars were heaps slower in the race compared to Quali.

Pole was a 1:36.9 and the fastest lap was 5 seconds slower.... that was due to the face they could use DRS the entire lap during quali and only on certain occasions during the race.  Coulthard mentioned it several times. (I hope I remembered the quali time correctly).

Just a thought.

Exact same relative speed then   :DntKnw:

I'm sure there are many factors that go into a dull race... universal understanding of the new rules and how to conduct tire strategy... track layout... modified engine rules

Great idea....pop-ups at random times and locations.  And it would add a new dimension for the citizens on the road circuits during the year.

As to todays race.....
A bit of a snorefest.
I have not been a fan of the Valencia track since it first arrived on the calender.

I am also getting tired of watching Vettel run away with races. Reminds me of Schumi in the early seasons on this millennium.
