I know what you mean Dare, ok, Hunt was good, but Graham Hill is a legend.

Didn't Hunt sorta luck into  the titlewhen
Lauda had his fiery crash and missed a few races?

Agreed. Hunt was an excellent driver and a fascinating character, but he is not the F1 legend Hill is. It always bothers me when they rate a driver by the number of wins he has. When Clark and Hill were racing there were only 9-10 races a year. They simply didn't have the opportunities Mansell had. Nothing against Nige, whom I have always rated, but If there had been more races in the 50s and 60s the older guys would certainly have more wins.

Plus how can they rate a guy nicknamed  ' Hunt the Shunt' above a legend.

Definitely Graham Hill over Hunt. Hunt was very good, but not top five.

No particular order G.Hill, Clark, Stewart, Moss, Mansell, Hamilton.

I personally think John Surtees ranks above Hunt or Mansell, but not above Clark, Stewart or Graham Hill.

I'd have to put Surtees above Hunt and Mansell.Little too
early to be putting Lewis with that lot
