Villeneuve on Pole!

It may be NASCAR Nationwide, but it's first pole in a major series since 1997

#2 is Alex Tagliani, the first ever Canadian front row in NASCAR Nationwide.

The race is in Montreal, another chance for Villeneuve to race at the track bearing his father's name.

Give him his due, in the past JV has hauled some B level cars to the front here and at Road America. This time I think he has a better car and it shows. Winning is another step though, good luck to him.

10 Canadians showed up for qualifying.

I guess not a lot of gold old boys bother getting a passport to do a road course.

There are a lot of "Good Ol' Boys" who think Sears Point and the Glen in Cup are too many road courses.

It looks like JV learned not to play Bumper Cars with Aussies!

What was that all about? He just drove straight into the side of Ambrose!! Rather boneheaded.
