Looks like a tight and tricky course, better have some
extra yellow flags on hand

Watch for carnage between turns 5-7.  It's nasty if you put a wheel wrong.

It looks better than most street circuits. Baltimore's Inner Harbor area, were the track is located, is a beautiful historcal district. Camden Yards, the Baltimore Orioles ballpark, is there also. It should be a good location.

Don't forget that the ALMS will be racing there this week-end, too. Their race is Saturday and can be viewed on the ALMS website or ESPN3.com

I cannot understand the fascination with street courses. You can count the good ones on about 2 fingers. They eat cars, you can't pass. most have no elevation change. There are a good number of real race courses that are under used, and still they come up with these joke tracks. Bleah! >:D

On the whole, I agree with you, Lonny. I have little use for most street courses. I'd love to see Singapore and Valencia drop away. That said, this one is better than most. It does have elevation change and a few good passing areas. Give it a look.  :good:

Oh I looked, but if you're not racing at the Glen, Road Atlanta or Road America, Baltimore's just taking up space. There is only 1 Monaco, and it's not really a great race track. Long Beach came close, but the changes they made there have soured me even on that venue.

I wasn't impressed with the ALMS race yesterday. There was a giant, dead stop traffic jam at Turn 1 on the first lap. Later, it would take the better part of a lap for an LMP1 car to get around GTC Porsche Cup cars. We'll see if the IRL does any better today.

I thought the IRL was a bore, turned it off after a while.
