I know its a rumour thats been floating around for a while, but Jean Alesi has confirmed he will enter the Indy 500 next May.  He has already clocked up prperation time in Dallara's simulator.

Not terribly optimistic.  Like many before him, switching from road courses to an oval (so to speak) like Indy will be hard to get used to.  A simulator doesn't really give you that seat of the pants feel of the back end starting to break away as you accelerate out of a banked corner.  Good luck to him.  I hope whoever he's driving for will get him some big oval experience behind the wheel before May.
