Sarah Fisher Racing Wins Kentucky
« on: October 03, 2011, 12:47:15 PM »
Ed Carpenter gave Sarah Fisher Racing its first victory this week-end in the Kentucky Indy 300.  :yahoo: It was also the first win for Carpenter. He edged out Dario Franchitti by a nose. Carpenter is the stepson of Tony George.

The race wasn't on in Canada, but I did see the 'highlights'.

What the hell was wrong with the pitlane?

Wow - tire changers should get danger pay.  Time for a bit of a review about pit lane rules?  Someone's going to get killed.

I haven't watched Indy for a while, but putting a title sponsor on the medical car and safety car is something Bernie hasn't put much thought to, has he?  Surprised he missed out on that couple o' million.

That pit lane is lethal, needs to be sorted before someone is killed.  >:D

Great result for Sarah and her team, pity she never achieved it as a driver. The incidents in the pits were just scary.

Scary isn't the word that come to mind! They need to slow down to about 40mph until they figure something out. Bad spotters, bad crew chiefs and bad drivers is what I saw.

One thing they could do is not allow ANYONE into a pit box until the car comes to a complete stop but that won't help the other poor guys when someone other than your car comes sliding into your box! Sheesh!
Kimi's back! Future double WDC.
