F1 Fanatic pointed out that at last years tests the field was about 2-3 seconds first to last. This year it was under 1 second for the 2012 cars. Unles someone is doing a world class sandbagging act, it could be very tight. Keith also pointed out that RB is expected to bring a virtually new car to OZ after they get all their trick bits on it.  :DntKnw: RB and Vettel have the momentum but maybe someone is hiding a double diffuser type secret up their sleeve. I think Macca will push RB harder this year and Merc and Lotus will be ready to pounce if they falter. Ferrari is a mystery. On one hand they muzzle their drivers and say they have to backpedal a bit. The press says the car looks unstable compared to the others. Luca is already whining. On the other hand, Fry says they will be OK, their trick exhaust was not what they hoped, but the car is sound. Alonso could be the Joker in the deck. Nevertheless, I would bet on Vettel/Newey.
