F1- Wurz flies in new Williams
« on: February 07, 2007, 07:55:39 PM »
Alex Wurz was "content" but cautious late on Tuesday after Williams' new 'FW29' made a seemingly competitive debut at Jerez.

Only McLaren's impressive MP4-22, with Pedro de la Rosa at the wheel, was marginally quicker than the 32-year-old Austrian as a field of sixteen started testing in Spain.

"We are very content with the way things have begun," Wurz said at the circuit.  "We have done many laps and had no major problems but it is much too early to say where we really stand in comparison to the others.

Wurz's day in the Toyota-powered machine actually ended at the side of the track, but teammate Nico Rosberg seemed to confirm the performance potential of the FW29 by also collecting more than 60 laps and finishing only half a second off the pace.
