From now on I'm catching the bus

There have been many ideas and incentives to try and get us out of our cars and on to public transport. As far as I can tell (because I don't use it) they have all failed.

Now in Bulgaria, they seemed to have solved the problem. Plasma TVs have been installed at a bus stop in the country's capital Sofia, showing bus times during the day.    Clearly this isn't very exciting, but at night time the screens start playing soft porn. 

We wanted to give the passengers something to take their minds off the cold and to pass the time while waiting for a bus," said a station spokesman.

The scheme has been very successful although some people have complained that station guards are too distracted to properly police the bus shelter.
