Webber stays at RB for another season
« on: July 10, 2012, 12:30:00 PM »
So Mark has signed with Red Bull for another season.
That is one of the much discussed seats now occupied.
Now that Massa is starting to perform will he also stay at Ferrari?
Perhaps there will be less 'musical chairs' than we were expecting.
I'm just hoping Mercedes kick out Schumacher in favour of Paul DiResta!

I wonder if Mark will still be the Second Driver at RBR after he wins the WDC this year.  ;)

You may well be right about Michael staying next year Scott, according to OneStopStrategy.com, Schumi, and not Haug, Brawn or Fry, is in total charge over the decision for him to stay, or not, in the Merc car next year.  ;)
At least Monty will have cause to get overexcited next season as well.  :D :tease:

The extension of Michael Schumacher's contract at Mercedes is the seven time world champion's decision alone. - That is the claim of the German newspaper Die Welt.

"In (F1) industry circles it is said that Schumacher sets the direction," read the report.

"Apparently only he has the unilateral option to renew his contract. So the veteran is unlikely to be rushed into making a hasty decision."

Ferarri needs do replace Massa for their and his own good. He is not where he needs to be and will not be again.
Di Resta would be a good fit.

Massa looked pretty good Sunday! He was well ahead of Di Resta. Rumors around the internet say Massa's poor showing in more than one race was due to Ferrari testing adjustments and strategies on his car to be sure Alonso's chances were maximized. If that's true then his position is probably more secure than most people think.

If Ferrari had talks with Webber before he re-signed for RBR, you know they are looking around.  I'm sure Ferrari can find someone else eager in the field who would jump into Massa's seat and do just as good a job on a fraction of his retainer.  That said, I guess Webber would have commanded at least as much as Massa is getting.

Let Fisichella take Massa's place,he learned how to let
Alonso win and play the happy team mate at Renault
