Hiding e-mail

I'm trying to hide my e-mail address, and I can't seem to figure out how to do it.  I've checked the hid e-mail option in the profile settings, but it doesn't appear to be working.  Can anyone help?

I feel a bit silly, because I've used SMF 2.0 millions of times without a problem, so I can't really understand what I'm doing wrong with this older version.

It doesn't hide it from you, but no one else can see it. I just checked to be sure.  :good:

Ah, it doesn't show up as an available icon or for yourself on newer versions of SMF, hence my confusion.
