Confirmed: F1 Coverage to NBC for 2013
« on: October 15, 2012, 06:20:05 PM »
NBC has confirmed that it has obtained the broadcast rights for F1 in the United States starting with the 2013 season. For races (Canada, Abu Dhabi, Austin and Brazil) will be on NBC broadcast. The rest of the season will be on the cable NBC Sports channel. They will also make all 20 races available online at NBC Sports Live Extra.

No word yet on if they will be able to pick up the outstanding Speed F1 broadcast team.

Wow - finally a great feed for us all.

For our non-American residing friends, you will need to install something called Hotspot Shield, which acts like a VPN (don't ask me, but it works), which will fool the NBC Sports Extra website into thinking you are in the USA and the feed will be free and very likely great quality.

This should also solve the problem of not being able to view videos on American websites.  Not sure if there is a British version of it so the rest of us can watch British feeds easier.  Anyone?
