Webber steals pole from Vettel
« on: October 13, 2012, 11:17:22 AM »
Where the heck is the pat on the back icon here.  It appears I was the only one with faith in the Aussie today  :tease: :tease: :tease:

Question is, will Vettel try to drive his own line into the first corner regardless of where Mark happens to be?  Mark has had some lousy starts this year, so if he is going to maximize his pole position, he should be working on his reflexes and keep a close eye on his car so that none of Marko's bullies bend a wing or something.

Cost me a point but I'm glad to see Mark beat Vettel.  :good:

Me too. I even had Mark & changed at the last minute. I hope he can get a decent start for once.

Let's hope he gets a decent start for a change, I've got £50 each way at 14/1 on him for the season. (Top three pays 1/5th odds..hmmm not looking too good... Yet.)

I should think there will be some very careful and very clear instructions for various scenarios in the Red Bull planning room tonight.

I just hope that Vettel listens.

I think the question is whether or not Mark listens.   ;)  I hope he doesn't.

I can see Vettel cutting across ala Schumi into the 1st corner and trying to shut the door on Mark.
I hope not, but....

I think instead of the diving across Mark, I guess Vettel will opt for an aggressive attack on turn 1, given the fact that he gets a clean start, perhaps because of the long straight towards turn 1.

Great one from Mark, if you people watched post quali conference, you would have seen the fidgeting Vettel for not having the pole. I wish Mark did it more consistently rather than in number of days in the season.

Vettel was really sore about not getting pole, which amused me, as did Rocky's comment to him on the radio.  Unfortunately, the race unfolded in rather predictable fashion.  Mark just cannot beat Sebastian if the latter takes the lead at the start, and doesn't have any mechanical or pit stop issues.
