wait till at least service pack 1 is release before diving in..........that way alot of the major bugs should be dealt with......but this is microsoft we are talking about, XP didn't get fully stable until after sp1 and even a few live updates after that.

Thanks romephius:
I have a mate who is gadget mad and has already put it on his PC.
I will watch, how he gets on with it. New PCs are coming out with it pre- installed now,so it should be easy to keep track on complaints and feed back on it as people up-grade etc.

Thanks:

Here's a test to see if your pc will run vista,my 512 ram they
say isn't enough plus a few other  short coming.

Just as well I'm pretty happy with xp anyway

Take it from someone with more years in the field than I want to think about. Never, NEVER EVER be an "Early Adopter" with ANYTING from Microsoft. As of yesterday, even Microsoft was admitting to at least 20 holes in Vista's security. I'm taking a "wait and see" to be sure this isn't another Windows ME.

I won't even turn on automatic updates. A few of them have been toxic. :stop:
