300 Fiskers Destroyed by Sandy

300 brand new Fisker Karma (some sources say 320) were destroyed when Superstorm Sandy struck New Jersey. They had just arrived from the factory in Finland. The damage amounts to approx. $30 million. 16 of them became the infamous Fisker Flamers and burned to the ground.

Around 15,000 Fiskers, Toyotas and Chrysler vehicles were destroyed at the New Jersey docks.

Does Fisker have that much of a demand in US, that they shipped $30 million cars in one shipment or so?

At $100,000+ per car, $3 million is only 30 cars. Newer reports say that 35 cars, or $3.5 million, were destroyed. Fisker says that the loss was insured.
