Albers happy with team's progress
« on: February 13, 2007, 06:53:39 PM »
On Tuesday Christijan Albers had his first proper day of testing. At Circuit de Catalunya Albers and Spyker F1 joined the other F1 teams to prepare themselves for the upcoming F1 season.

On Monday Albers flew to Barcelona to witness his team-mate Adrian Sutil on the first of a three-day test session. On Tuesday Albers got his turn to cover the miles in the new Spyker F1 car. "After a few months I'm glad to have covered so many miles," said Christijan Albers, who completed over 100 laps in Spain today. "I'm glad to see we could complete so many laps without any major problems."

"Our reliability looks great really! We're not flying yet, but it will be very important to bring a reliable car to Melbourne. But before we travel to Melbourne there is still a lot of work to be done. We're doing all we can to make the car faster and faster and fortunately the car shows improvement throughout the day."

"On Tuesday we mainly focussed on the set-up of the car and we worked on the balance in the car to see how the Bridgestone tyres would react to it. Bridgestone's new compound is pretty different to the ones we raced with so we need to get used to that."
