I think if you want Kimi, you accept this kind of stuff. Racers used to do all kinds of stuff that would freak out today's team managers. After all Clark died in a Formula 2 race in a Lotus Team car.

This makes me think about 2005, when Montoya missed a couple of GP's with a "tennis injury." It was pretty well accepted that he had actually injured his shoulder in a motorcycle incident.

It's a blessed relief that Kimi is his own man, 100%. I'm really glad that the rookies have had decent clean starts to the season, but they are all so completely dull it's not true. Bianchi was on The F1 Show on Friday, and I was almost asleep the moment he started talking. It's not really their fault, being so heavily schooled not to mess up on screen, but their 'schooling in the media arts' leaves a lot to be desired - they're in such formative years at that time that being taught to be someone else most of the time might well leave them a bit empty of natural personality. Long live Kimi, let his nature be a positive lesson for others.
