All that tells me is that Vettel has enjoyed a much better car than Schumi over the 103 races. Still not close to his Masters finesse.  :P

Yup, when Schumi went to Ferrari the car was a total pig.

Vettel won his 3 WDC in arguably the fastest car.  Schumacher took a car that shouldn't have been in contention and managed to almost win the WDC in '97.  He probably would have won if not for bad luck (and a bonehead move that had him DQ'd from the season as a result).

I do not like either of them. The difference is I respect Schumacher. Building Ferrari from the ground is what makes Schumacher so great to me. I think Lewis made the right decision moving to Mercedes for the same reason.

I know some may disagree[not you Monty ;)] but
to me Schumacher gave a air of class, something which
Vettel doesn't or never will have. Many drivers had it
and many champions never did

Mika said about Schumacher, "He never gives up, he knows he does not have the machine to match, still he will not stop pushing you, force you to make mistake" I don't think Vettel has that sort of reputation yet. But to be fair to the chap, he is only 25 years, let him race for another 10 years, then lets see how he ends up.

Vettels numbers are also due to the fact we have more races per season than any era, which helps Vettel to accumulate those stats.

Two figures catch my eye. Vettel has more poles but Schumi has more podiums. That makes me think that Schumi's racecraft was superior to Vettel. He got more out of slower cars.

I was a fan of Vettel up until Sepang. Now, I think I agree with what Jacques Villeneuve had to say about him on Sky this past weekend. In Villeneuve's words, he is a driver without honor.

I'd also go along with that, and I'm not normally one to agree with Jacques Villeneuve about very much.

Vettel's win at all costs mentality will come back to bite him at some stage of his career.  I just hope that it's this year, as I can't stomach the prospect of his winning the tile yet again.

I think, in a way, they are both real personalities. But I have to say that I like Michael Schuhmacher more for his driving skills. Even though Vettel seems to catch up on him. I have bought a some big posters showing Schuhmacher for myself and a friend to decorate our garage. For some reason, I miss the late 90s races style very much and it helps me bring it back somehow.
