Will another web browser display the same page that isn't working with Explorer?

In that case I would delete the temporary Internet files in the settings. If that doesn't work then you might want to reset Explorers setting to default although if you haven't changed anything i don't know why that would work. However, since we are talking about Explorer it could be a myriad of possibilities such as Flash or Java exploits. You wouldn't have happened to have updated to the latest Explorer version 10 would you? I recently did and that POS won't even display videos on a lot of pages anymore. Since I spend most of my time on the iPad anyways I'm not putting a lot of time into fixing the problem.

Hmmm, make sure you haven't somehow switched to "work offline" in Explorer. I THINK it's under the "file" menu in ie8.

I've had problems with Explorer for some time Ian, I've now switched to Google Chrome.
I didn't want to,  :nono: :(  but I'm told by one of my sons that Explorer running on old windows platforms, Vista in my case, is not getting any support or updates now from MS.

Like you I was getting problems 'site not found' on usually reliable sites & other complications, ....... so I had to bite the bullet.  :swoon:

>:( Not at all comfortable with Chrome as doesn't offer half the things I found useful on Explorer, but at least access to all my favourites is now assured.  ;)

tried Firefox and seemed to have numerous problems with it.
I ever now and then use IE but I find it hard to navigate
on it now.Chrome is gold to me :good:

I prefer chrome as it's so fast, but IE does give you better search options. Firefox seams to have slowed down a lot too.
