Another Big Racing Movie
« on: October 25, 2013, 12:28:42 PM »
Hollywood is looking at another big racing movie that is based on a true story. Following on the heels of "Senna", "Rush" and "Snake & Mongoose" comes the announcement that Tom Cruise is set to play on the big screen to play the legendary Carroll Shelby in "Go Like Hell."

The film will be based on the 2009 book "Go Like Hell: Ford, Ferrari and their Battle For Speed and Glory at Le Mans" by A.J. Baime. It tells the story of the grudge match at Le Mans in the 1960s between Ford and Ferrari. 20th Century Fox is the studio involved.

Hopefully, Cruise can redeem himself from "Days of Thunder", generally considered as one of the foremost examples of horrible racing movies.

Well, they're off on the wrong foot already. Shelby would have had Cruise for an afternoon snack.
