Is Brawn headed to Ferrari?

It would make sense I guess.  He is familiar, if not family, and Ferrari probably needs his services at least as much as Mclaren.  But I wonder if he is weighing a Honda tie in vs Ferrari? 

Either way, I hope Brawn is in F1 next year.  It would be fun to see him running things with Alonso and Kimi.  I hope he can keep them under reign.

Interesting to hear of him coming out of the Ferrari trailer, and Domnicali not denying the possibility.

Brawn at Ferarri with Kimi, and maybe Alonso, could be another juggernaut. I'm sure Brawn has had more than his fill of under performing Honda engines.

We all know what a smoke and mirrors show F1 is, do we really think Brawn was so openly meeting Ferrari for the purpose the journalists want us to believe? 

I'm pretty sure Ross' contract with Merc will preclude him from just leaving Brackley and jetting off to Maranello. unlike Paddy he may have to sit on his hands for a long time before he can be useful to other big teams.
 
Stefano was just playing along with the hypothetical question, it's not the first time a team principal has pulled the media's leg when they are intent on pursuing overblown and fanciful rumour.

It's no secret that his contract with Merc is finished, so why would he care who the journalists saw him with?  No subterfuge, no smoke and mirrors, he'd be wise to talk to more than one team, but the journo's obviously caught him there. 

I believe Brawn can go where he wants next year, Merc negotiated with him for quite a while before they announced that he was not renewing.  It won't really make a difference on car design for Ferrari (or whatever team), as it will be too late to make any great impact on the design, perhaps only on updates.  I'm sure once Merc knew he wouldn't be coming back that they took away his key card to the 2014 program area.
