This weeks top ten drivers????????????
« on: March 30, 2006, 01:24:46 PM »
National Speed Sport News released its weekly Power Rankings, ranking the Top 10 drivers from all forms of motorsports based on their performance at the track and points standings.

1. Dan Wheldon, Indy Racing League. Defending IRL champion Wheldon used a brave move to win the season opener at Homestead, Florida.
2. Fernando Alonso, Formula One. Again atop the World Driving Championship standings, Alonso awaits race three in Australia.
3. Sebastien Bourdais, Champ Car World Series. After co-driving to a GT2 triumph in the 12 Hours of Sebring, Bourdais is ready for the Champ Car opener.
4. Jimmie Johnson NASCAR Nextel Cup. After an early tire problem, Johnson struggled to a 30th-place finish at Bristol on Sunday.
5. Dave Steele USAC, TBARA. Steele finished fifth in the USAC Silver Crown race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
6. Steve Kinser, National Sprint Tour. The National Sprint Tour season resumes April 15 at Outlaw Motor Speedway in Oklahoma.
7. Melanie Troxel, NHRA Top Fuel. Troxel looks to make her fourth final round in as many races this week at Houston Raceway Park.
8. Kasey Kahne NASCAR Nextel Cup. Kahne finished 10th at Bristol and trails point-leader Matt Kenseth by just eight markers.
9. Todd Bodine Craftsman Truck Series. Bodine returns to action as the Truck Series visits Martinsville (Va.) Speedway Saturday.
10. Steve Francis, World of Outlaws Late Model Series. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series gets back on the track April 7 at Lernerville Speedway.
