What's Up With Timing & Scoring?
« on: March 14, 2014, 03:05:52 AM »
Just finished watching FP1. There were no Sector times on F1 Timing & Scoring, only colored dots. The weather screen wasn't there, either. I hope it was just a malfunction & not a new downgrade.

Nice to watch the first P1 with you cos, with some 2014 race chat thrown in, nice one.  :good:

As we discussed during the session - maybe it's a downgrade to make people buy the app. I had the app running on the iPad, and it's pretty good. Live circuit map with driver buttons, the whole timing screen and further screens, with fastest sector speeds, a comprehensive tyres page and more.

It was vaguely useful to see who was preparing to come out on track before they appeared on the TV - but this is useless during an actual race. Come to think of of it, it's mostly fluff, and costs £7.99 if I remember correctly.
