Was Kimi's 7th place FP2 timed lap on Medium tyres?

'Unless I'm very much mistaken' (so I'm sure to be) he was.  :swoon:  :DntKnw:

I'm sure I saw one car on the TV graphics of the top 10 timed FP2 laps on mediums, but can't now find a confirmation as all the F1 websites only give the pecking order, times and number of laps.

The rest all set best laps on softs, that could put the gap between him and Nando in a different light, - if it's true of course.  ;)

I don't know how much one can read from FFP.  I believe there was a lot of experimentation going on today.

I think tomorrow's free practice will likely be more telling.  For example, this is basically a street circuit, which requires rubbering in.  Both Williams set their times early on and then went on to long runs for tire wear/fuel consumption and the likes.

Interestingly enough though, Red Bull managed a fairly good day in all, without too many problems and they did show some speed.
Life is short - live each day to the fullest.

Screenshot from F1 app on iPhone showing tyre use for FP2. Whether you can discern anything useful from this I know not, I'm just trying to be flash.  :D
