Indycar Tech trickles down
« on: June 01, 2014, 07:29:50 AM »
Some of the technology that protects Indy drivers in a crash, has found it's way into American made car seats for babies.

Nice piece to read Lonnny, thanks.  :good:

Mind you I'm not sure I swallow all the guff about Dorel employees being the ones to really care about saving children's lives, unlike the cheaper labour countries, when making the seats.

Very cool. IndyCar should be trumpeting this story.

I absolutely do believe the lack of QC or product safety in junk coming from a number of cheapo production countries. I really don't care for dog food that kills dogs or antifreeze being used as sweetener in tooth paste & mouthwash.

BTW, I was born on an army base just outside of Columbus, IN. Camp Atterbury. Columbus is also home to the Cummings Diesel Corp. The built a few diesel powered cars for the 500 over the years.

Loved the Freddy Agabashian (?) Cummins car from the '50s or early '60s. Took pole but was too hard on the right front during the race. I really miss the days of loose rules and run what ya brung.

Yeah baby!!   :yahoo: :yahoo:  Indy should have let them run it a couple more years to see if they could solve the tire problem.
