Brabham Team Plans Return To F1
« on: September 27, 2014, 04:36:14 PM »
The Brabham family is planing to revive the their racing team. The plan is to spend the first three years on an LMP2 program, then move on to F1 in the fourth year.

I hope they can make it. I'd like to see the Brabham name back in racing.

Start high tech and then go downstream to F1...they should be a shoe-in when they come to F1.  It'll be great to see the Brabham name back in F1.

Umm  :DntKnw: I'm not convinced crowd funding can yield anything like enough to get on even the very back of the F1 grid, - good luck to them anyways.  ;)

I think F1 is still a few years off, and if they have a successful campaign with Le Mans, hopefully they'll attract proper sponsorship for F1.  That's fairly clear in the last paragraph.

It would be great to see them back, but there's a very long way to go.  At least though, it would be a genuine Brabham team, rather than what happened with Lotus's return in 2010.
