The Ambulance-Drone could save your life
« on: November 04, 2014, 09:41:13 AM »
Each year nearly a million people in Europe suffer from a cardiac arrest. A mere 8% survives due to slow response times of emergency services.

The ambulance-drone is capable of saving lives with an integrated defibrillator. The goal is to improve existing emergency infrastructure with a network of drones. This new type of drones can go over 100 km/h and reaches its destination within 1 minute, which increases chance of survival from 8% to 80%!

Roll on the referendum, if he gets back in, if Clegg isn't there to pantie hose it and even more so if the man has enough backbone to actually call one.  :P  ::)

Something actually useful to do with a drone!

Are automatic defibrillators widely available over there? They hang on the wall in many public places here in the States. We have one down @ the Amvets Post.

All over the place.  My wife is one of the 20 or so in our little 700 person to be qualified to use it or instruct another by phone.  In our village it's just outside the Activity Centre in the center of town.
