Is this who you're talking about?

Speaking as an Appalachian, he doesn't talk any funnier than the rest of y'all flatlanders, from t'either side o' the pond.

Whatever happens to TG it'll be open to criticism and would someone like Guy Martin, who has done tv shows before, want to put himself in that situation?

After watching Cos's video I'd have to use
closed captions.Lot of mumble jumble to me.

I will miss Jeremy Clarkson  :'(  Yes I agree he has been ore than a handful for BBC, I also agree that letting him go upunished would be doing a grave injustice to lesser known hard-workinh guy in the show.

But how can I forget all those old Topgear episodes, the DVDs he released, the motorshow where he would go to the different part of the world. The love for the cars I have has a significant portion drawn by this controversial man.

I would have begged to person who got injured in the incident to forgive this embecile , and let Jeremy work for Topgear.

Though I have a theory of my own, Jeremy knew that he is reaching stage where the fanbase will be dwindling to bottom (like F1) because the era, and philosophy with which the cars are being produced today does not give him much chance other than making flatbed jokes. So instead of clinging on to it, he leaves it with a bang, a goodbye that only he can make, like he have been doing it for near about three decades.

Toyota put up this tribute to Clarkson:

With all the names being banded about for a JC replacement this one is a bit of a surprise!  :o

The UK bookies have been wrong before.

I don't think it is yet time to re-launch Top Gear, nor should the BBC be taking steps to sign any presenters.  Take the summer, enjoy the flowers and re-launch a well thought out version in the Autumn.

At the moment the FB Top Gear page has been quite active and actually quite good with adding content to keep people up to date.  Their web page as well.  They should pull a couple internet stunts and get some viral videos going just prior to a re-launch as well.  Need something to catch the eye of people who normally wouldn't watch the show.

I know nothing about this Sue Perkins, but unless she can drift a Pagani around a curve in anger, they should NOT be considering her.

I'd never heard of her Scott until your post, the only cookery programmes I ever watched were Keith Floyd's and Rick Stein's.

I'm sure there will be further red herrings along the way to a re-launch its just a case of sorting the serious contenders out from them.  :DntKnw:
