My Picks for the Malaysian Grand Prix
« on: March 29, 2015, 03:50:30 PM »
Rain - Yes
It's Malaysia, even when they say no rain, it rains.  Right?  Oh well

Safety Car - Yes
Safety continues to be a focus of the FIA, and good for them.  Even without a crash, I figured rain would induce a safety car.

DNF - 4
Without knowing who is going to start the race, this is tough to pick!

Fastest - Hamilton
The man and machine seem to be in a class of their own

Pole - Hamilton
Same as above

Finish Order
HAM
Same as above

ROS
Once again, has the misfortune of being second fiddle at the best team.  I do like that Mercedes seems to let them have a free hand.  Hamilton seems to be completely owning Nico on that level too.

VET
I like to see that teams aren't stuck with the car they finished winter testing with.  Ferrari is showing life.  I didn't think they were ready to win yet.

RAI
Kimi is many things, but I don't think he's a top driver any more.   He can get a good race out of a good car, but whatever it takes to get on the podium, I'm not sure he has it.

MAS
Mercedes power and no back pain

BOT
Mercedes power and back pain

KVY
Renault and RBR might not be best buddies at the moment, but RBR does know what they're doing.  I picked Kvyat ahead of Ricciardo because Ricciardo just seems to be unlucky for now.

GRO
The team at Enstone works as hard as anyone, and Grosjean is one driver that I think in the right circumstance will be a race winner, maybe even a champion.  He's not in that circumstance now, but 8th place is an easy fit for him for now.
