Clarkson May Start New Show
« on: April 21, 2015, 02:57:21 PM »
Jeremy Clarkson is looking to start a new series on another TV network.

Also, Sue Perkins has been receiving death threats from Clarkson's thug fans.

I'll try the new Top Gear when and if it appears, unless Stephen Fry is on it.

Making death threats against Sue Perkins (whoever she is) just shows how pathetic some people are, they should be tracked down and charged with threatening behavior at the very least.

What's wrong with Stephen Fry?  I've enjoyed his work wherever I've seen it.

Limp wristed political correctness and pink pound innuendo are no substitute for the Laddish culture we all love about 'Top Gear', Jeri.  :nono:

They'll have to change the Moniker to 'Paddle-shift Gear', or 'DSG Auto', to fit Mr Fry's image.  :D

I hope they find somebody good for it. (EJ, for example.) I'll miss Hamster and maybe James. I won't miss Clarkson one bit.

I doubt Clarkson's new show will be shown over here. Without BBC America to carry it, I can't think of any major network that would have it.

If it's a hit PBS might carry it,they carry many English
shows including the latest one I love....Wolf Hall

I don't think PBS would go anywhere near someone with Clarkson's propensity for racist outbursts. I agree with you, Scott.

I'm with you, dare. I'm a big fan of Wolf Hall, too.  :good:

Funny ain't it how you Yanks love our historical dramas that are wasted on a lot of us, ;) but we lap up your Cop/Federal Agency/Sheriff/Autopsy/gumshoe shows.

 ........ well I do anyway.  :D

John it's funny how different English shows portray
different characters....in some Cromwell is the villain

Don't look for Clarkson's new show any time soon. His BBC contract has a no compete clause. He can't be on a competing program until 2017.
