Susi Wolff feels far away from a race seat...
« on: May 08, 2015, 07:33:57 AM »
I'm all for her getting a seat on merit, but failing that, the power couple is certainly worth a fortune and can attract enough sponsorship to slot her into one of the backmarkers.  Failing that, her husband just happens to be team principal at Merc, and if he would be willing to send Frank those Merc engines pro bono and sweeten the deal with cash...well, Massa is just about done

I would like her to get a chance in a race seat, but I think that she will be overlooked.  I get the impression that Williams believe that she's not quite good enough, and other teams don't seem to be very interested either.

You just ain't fast enough, or young enough anymore, Susie, - sorry if the truth hurts.

Mind you your husband could help find funds for you to take a race seat off another signed driver at Sauber next year.  :D

With Bottas more than likely to switch teams
in 2017 Williams may need to retain Massa to
have a experienced driver.

There's better choices  out there better than Susie.
Lege would be a better pick, then she's getting on in years  too.

Liz Halliday would have been a good choice. But, like Legge, she's a bit old for a rookie. ( I really hate saying that mid-30's is too old.)

I think the only thing Wolfe need to get a race drive is a sponsor with deep pockets. That seems to be about the only way into F1 any more.
