Barcelona Fuel flow directive may bite some ass.  :D

Cyril Abiteboul, Renault's F1 chief, claims Canadian GP will show if some teams were exploiting flow rates earlier in the season.

Latest inspections of all fuel flow systems by the FIA have found no wrong doing, this does not mean however that teams have not indulged in some trickery earlier in the year.

Speaking to Motorsport.com, Abiteboul said: "The clarification on the fuel flow is an interesting one.

"You didn't see it much in Monaco, but it will be interesting to see how it plays in Canada because it is a very different track.

"So any adjustment to the fuel flow will have a massive impact on the very long straight there."

Abiteboul said his French bosses were eager to see what happened this weekend.

"It was a useful clarification that has been made, and I think we are still to see the real impact on a proper high power sensitivity track," he explained.

"This TD [FIA technical directive] was done for Barcelona, and also Barcelona is not a high performance power-sensitive track.

"Canada will be the case, which is where we will see the impact on the TD on respective positions."

We'll have to wait and see if Ferrari's protestations that it is running the same system as at the opening races turn out to be hollow.  ;)

Does this mean we may have a storm of regulation over the weekend, and most likely Ferrari will find itself a bit off guard??

No I don't think it will turn into a bun fight, but it might.  ;)

I think it means some cars may not get so close to the Merc engine cars like at previous power tracks, Malaysia and China for example.  :(

I think Renault are hoping it will help them move towards the Ferrari powered teams, or rather bring the others back towards them  ::) - but we'll see.

Could be in for either an interesting race, or two races. One between the Mercs and one between the rest.

No fuel cheats. Just Honda can only produce power with lots of fuel and Renault cannot produce power with any amount of fuel!
