Was it 4 or 5 DNFs in Hungary?
« on: July 28, 2015, 01:25:34 PM »
Will Stevens pulled his Manor car out of the GP before the chequered flag, he completed more than 90% of the race so he was officially classified as a finisher.

The GG rules state that the DNFs are as declared in the race chat room, but not being in this session I don't know how the 4 non finishers was arrived at. With so many other things being reported at the close of the GP I don't recall any TV coverage of the Manor retirement and can only guess that the official race classification was the source for the 4 rather than 5 DNFs decision.

Is there any chance of a Stewards enquiry?  ;)

I didn't see it come up on T&S, either. The F1 website lists Stevens as a DNF:

We have looked into this and it does indeed appear that we have an extra DNF that was not mentioned.

The results have been updated.
