What if F1 was as fan friendly as Champ Car?Look at
this Champ Car package for 24.95 USD.That's the
whole season, not one race.Maybe Bernie and Maxie
need to get out of the dark ages

I agree, dare. I wonder, if he offered a package like this, would he raise the price 10% a year like he does to the tracks?

Cosworth, don't know about your area, but it costs
me around $25 a month to upgrade to digital, which
you need to buy the sports package that f1 is on.

I'd imagine some Americans can't even get Speed Channel,
so they'd hop on this package in a heartbeat

I don't have to imagine it - I can't get Speed since our city council signed an exclucive deal with Time Worthless, I mean, Time Warner. My daughter and son-in-law who live in another town about 30 miles away are going to tape the races for me. You're right, I'd be on it like a duck on a june bug!

Can't you get Dish or Direct TV there? They have Speed Channel
in their packages

I've got Insight in which I have my cable, broadband, and phone
service all in one package. But the way they increase every year,I'm
looking at Dish

dare i dont think F1 will do anything like the Champ Car package.
They are moaning about the price of slapping some red paint on a few tyres.

I don't either Stig,it would be to the benifit
of the fans, which we know bernie's against,
unless he got $24.95 a race instead of a season

I agree. Remeber, this is the same Bernie who was talking about a "VIP Only" race a few years ago. The average "Fans in the Stands" are just a bother. I'd like to nominate Tony George to replace him. He knows how to take care of the fans!

Re Sat. TV: I have a large ridge with large trees on the top of it blocking my southern sky. I'd have to put up one heck of a tower or cut a deal with the company that owns the hill.

I was looking on the internet for streaming live coverage for football, and there were a few for motor sports.
It might be worth investigating this idea?

I'll look into it,but it's 30 dollars and
alot of these deals don't deliver what they promise

I've downloaded a few of these free and F1 was nowhere
to be seen

Take care then dare, but this one says it covers Formula One and it would be great for you if it did what it claims.
I agree $30 dollars is a lot, but keep looking into it.
I will take another look round and report back if i find anything more.
