I thought the site for F1 rejects was:

http://www.nascar.com/

JPM, Toyota, maybe even JV soon......

Sorry, Stig, but like many life-long NASCAR fans, I've developed a really bad attitude towards them in the past few year. It seems like Brian France (NASCAR's southern fried Bernie) has been doing everything he can to drive us away.

He's scrapped most of the better tracks, like North Wilksville and Rockingham, only to replace them with Boring Charlotte Clones (BCC's) like Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City. He even did away with the Southern 500 at Darlington, NASCAR's oldest big race. He put in this stupid "Race to the Chase" with eliminates 3/4th of the teams from contention for the last ten races.

And don't even get me started about Fox TV's unwatchable coverage. Many of us mute the TV and listen to the radio. Rating are sinking like a stone.

Even the officiating defies logic. At Daytona, the Toyotas that were caught intentionally cheating started well ahead of cars that had improper shock mount bolt. Even NASCAR said it was accidental and the cars gained nothing from it.

For a lot of fans, Toyota was the last straw. I know some veterans' post that used to have parties for every race. Now they won't even allow it to be shown.

There used to be a waiting list to get tickets to the Brickyard 400 at Indy. Now they go on TV saying "Plenty of good seats availible!"

Fans who have shown up at races with signs protesting the current state of affairs have been told to surrender the signs to security or be thrown out.

NBC, who have had the TV rights to the other half of the season for the past few years didn't even bid on then this year. They issued a statement that they didn't think the broadcast rights were worth the price.

Cosworth don't you think one thing
that hurts nascar is the announcers
and reporters with their exaggerated
phony southern accents.

It makes me cringe

Mark Twain once opined, "it's easier to con someone than to convince them they've been conned."
