Each year around Christmas as list of the must have presents is published and each year most of the toys on the previous year's list get replaced with more advanced ones. Only LEGO remains strong. This video shows us what was hot in toys over the last 100 years.

Eeeeeh - I love the mechanical top.

I had one for Xmas in the late 50s, so trends took a couple of decades to reach the country districts.

I got both the mechanical top & the Tinkertoys in the 50's. I got a microscope set in the 60's.


I had to try to find my daughter Angie one of those Cabbage Patch Dolls in the 80's.  :confused:   It's easier these days. Now I get her a bottle of Crown Royal.
