USGP Decision Due in February
« on: January 30, 2016, 03:54:32 PM »
COTA chairman Bobby Epstein is to confirm by the end of February whether this year's United States Grand Prix Formula 1 race at the Austin, Texas facility will go ahead. The race has been in question since the new governor of Texas slashed public funding of the race.

Also, the Blancpain GT Series has cancelled its scheduled race at COTA this year.

I feel bad for everyone involved in organising this year's race. It feels totally unnecessary, but the problem is not with them but with other people...

I agree completely with where blame should NOT be placed.

I read something somewhere - can't recall where - that according to Bernie, the USGP will definitely happen in Austin as it is on the schedule.  We can certain hope so.
Life is short - live each day to the fullest.

Seems like the people that figure the  formula to calculate the GP's economic impact on the area are the same ones that figure the cost
of living on Social Security.....move to America as nothing goes

Well Donald Trump will fix everything when he gets into power and you will have the circuit to yourselves because nobody from outside of the country will a). want to come or b). will be allowed to come  ;)

:DD :DD  He's talking about banning Canadians now as well because we have such lousy immigration policies.  Someone on Facebook had a great post about Trump - said it is the longest Punk'd episode they've ever seen.

Surely one day he's going to come on TV and say that everything he has said was just kidding.   :fool: :fool:

It's not that, Scott. The Donald just doesn't trust any nation that thinks that bacon is round.  ;)
