Marussia Now Officially Manor F1

It's official. The  F1 Commission approved a name-change for Manor-Marussia to just Manor. The new logo will be a black & white stylized "M".

The ownership changes last season, but too late to make it official per F1 rules.

This is confusing given Manor is John Booth's team, and Mr Booth isn't there any more. Apart from that, it makes perfect sense. Much more sense than Bernie's foolish suggestion that it calls itself by some acronym.

Did Booth sell the team name to Fitzpatrick?  It would make sense if that was part of the package.  Otherwise, thank goodness they have gone back to the original name.  Neither Virgin nor Marussia seemed appropriate to me.

Pretty sure the Manor team name in F1 will have been part of the assets that Fitzpatrick acquired when he bought the team out of bankruptcy.

It looks like Booth sold the team name to Fitzpatrick... ...for F1 only. There's a Manor in LMP2 WEC, run by John Booth and Graham Lowdon.
