Ralf says title a matter of time for Toyota

Toyota's Ralf Schumacher considers himself one of the top three drivers in Formula One and insists it is only a matter of time before Toyota wins the F1 title.

"I definitely count myself among the three strongest drivers in the world," Schumacher, 31, told Bild newspaper on Friday.

"Certainly (Fernando) Alonso and (Kimi) Raikkonen are fast, but I don't have any reason to hide behind anyone.

"If I weren't convinced of my abilities, I wouldn't be in Formula One."

Hoping to emerge from the shadows of his brother Michael after his retirement last year, Ralf said Toyota had improved with each season.

"Toyota is the team of the future," he said.

"The company and everyone working for it has one goal - to lead Toyota to the top. The Formula One title is only a question of time."

A title for Toyota? Other than "F1's biggest spenders?"

As of right now, Toyota has the exact same number of F1 wins that I do.

They have a lot to do to get on top and somehow i dont think they will climb the tree this year?
As you say cosworth they have the money but its not everything in this sport.

I think one of Toyota's mistakes is having Ralf as their #1 driver. From what I've seen, Jarno Trulli would do a much better job for them.

I took the pix Saturday morning at the USGP at Indy last year.

TRulli's one of my fav drivers.He's quick but
seems to lack mental focus for a full race
