Patrick McKay came to America in the 1950's. He got a job, saved up & bought the car of his dreams, a 1956 Nash Ambassador.
“The Nash was the focal point of Patrick’s life as a young adult,” writes the staff at ClassicCars.com, which brings us this story. “He impressed his wife on their first date with that car. They drove it on their honeymoon. It became the touring vehicle for his families many adventures. The Nash was the beginning of a legacy.”
Over 50 years ago, his Nash was destroyed in an accident. He never forgot the car. In old age, has his health gave out, he often talked about the car, the good times they had in it & how he wished he could have one more ride in it.
His family, along with ClassicCars.com, found an identical Ambassador. Patrick got his one last ride.
R.I.P., Patrick.
